Bio

Hel (Elena Marco) was born in Mallorca, Spain. She moved to Barcelona to attend college and her diverse music life started: first as a vocalist in hardcore metal band Growing Cells, then as vocalist and rhythm guitarist in funk-rock band Blue Aliens’ Club and rhythm guitarist in it’s spin-off pop project Sweet Accident, later as producer and multi-instrumentalist in indi project The Theresas. Then she moved to Dalian, China, to continue her studies. There she soon formed a rock band called The Lazy Dreamers and an acoustic duo, Lefty and The Spaniard, and quickly found herself in the very center of the city’s music scene.

All along, she never stopped writing, recording and performing her own music as solo artist as well as with her support band, Hel and the Helephants, in numerous places such as Barcelona, Dublin, Cannes, Dalian, Beijing... Now she has decided it’s time to gather those tunes in two compilation albums (“Arts & Crafts and Frankensteins” and the soon to be released“The Tick Collector”), as a reminder of where she comes from before moving forward, on to a new stage in her music career with a stronger focus on her instrumentalist side.
