New Year part II, there's always two of them fairly close together if you're a foreigner living in China. It's kinda cool, it almost feels like you have two goes at making a good start. If you screw up the New Year according to the Gregorian calendar, you can try again with the lunar one.
It's time to eat, drink and be merry, just like two months ago, haha! I've got some spring cleaning to tend to, so I'm gonna go back into "holiday mode" and just share some related songs (if only in my own head) for the occasion. Hope you like them:
春天花会开 (The flowers will blosson in the spring), one of the happiest sounding songs I've ever heard, from the Taiwanese artist Richie Ren (任贤齐)
In the springtime of his voodoo, by Tory Amos. I should mention the Chinese New Year is also called "Spring Festival“.
And, from the hilarious Mountain Goats, This year.
"I am gonna make it through this year, if it kills me". That's the spirit.
